This week's run
For those not racing in Abu Dhabi there will be a 6am run from the usual start/finish point car park opposite the Novotel. Distance around 21k but will depend on yr route master Margaret Rafferty.

Antonio does it again
Another great run by our Italian Stallion Antonio who finished 3rd in his category in the 100km Italian championship over the weekend in a time of 8hours 31mins. This is an amazing just over 5min/km pace and for 100k's !!! well done Antonio.

Volunteers for our half marathon
We are looking for volunteers to marshal on our half marathon. So pse can you let me have some names by email.

Brunch Friday the 21st Nov
This is for all runners irrespective of which club or which vest or if you are doing the big m or our little m or just running. This will be at the Aviation club on the lawn a great venue and a great brunch 1pm to 5pm same as we had after the marathon. Cost incl food wine, beer and soft drinks Dhs185 per head or no booze Dhs90 per head kids Dhs50
BUT I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY AND MOST HAVE YOU HAVE NOT LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD BE ATTENDING. REMEMBER THIS IS FOR ALL RUNNERS OF ANY CLUB. SO PSE PSE LET ME KNOW. I WILL ALSO BE PRESENTING 2 GREAT TROPHIES WE RECD FROM THE DUBAI MARATHON TO TWO RUNNERS WHO TOOK PART IN THIS YEARS 2008 MARATHON AND THEY WILL ONLY GET TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE AT THE BRUNCH.

Next week's run
We are getting close to 100 runners on our Friday runs. Due to the safety aspect of running in such a large group and the time it takes for us all to regroup at the water stops we would like to try and experiment with 2 groups and possibility of 2 separate routes.
There will b a group that will go with Terry and I will take the other group. The decision as to which group you go with is up to the individual - the average pace in Terry's group is around 5mins a kilometre or you could do under a 3h45marathon so if u feel you would be getting left behind then u can run towards the front of my group.
My group will be covering a steady increase in distance required for a marathon, it is likely that Terry's group could cover a longer distance but if you want to run longer in my group just add the extra when we arrive back at the Novotel.

Running vests
I know some of you gave me yr size on Friday but can you pse reconfirm by email which size you want. I am trying to have them ready for Abu Dhabi on Friday. So if you have filled in yr membership form, paid the dhs50 and let me know yr size I will bring them to Abu Dhabi. Please note that all runners are welcome to join us on our Friday runs irrespective of which club you may belong to. However, we will require you to sign the form prior to running with us. Not too fussed about attaching a photo but would be a nice to have on record.
